Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marsha Siner Toney; two children, Kristin Toney of Terre Haute and Craig Toney (Angela) of Danville, IN; three grandchildren, Caiden, Kennedy and Chloe Toney; two brothers, Scott Toney (Beth) of Avon, IN and Kevin Toney (Debra) of the Washington, DC area; and two sisters, Jackie Mitchell (Mike) of Brazil, IN and Vanessa Runnels (Tim) of Terre Haute. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Marilyn Siner of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law, Mike Siner of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Michelle Siner of Avon, IN; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Rick Toney.
Gregg was a graduate of West Vigo High School and worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2009. He was an avid racing fan. Gregg's parents worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and as such he spent much of his time at the track and every May was a celebration. He loved being with his grandchildren and enjoyed his beloved dog, Benz, and granddogs, Dilly and Athena.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Dennis Ticen officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. If friends should so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, 1811 South Fruitridge Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47803.
