Gertrude Emile “Trudy” Scott, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday evening, February 1, 2022 after a long battle of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She had worked in Accounts Receivable at the Holiday Inn for 22 years. Trudy was born February 8, 1939 in Terre Haute to Nicholas Dragon and Gertrude Crowley Dragon.
Survivors include her brothers, Tony Dragon and Richard Dragon; a son, Christopher A. Scott (Jacqueline) of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Belinda K. Scott of Indianapolis and Olivia J. Scott Miller (William II) of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her husband, Otto Scott.
Trudy attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was a member of St. Joseph University Parish. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that put family first. Trudy always enjoyed volunteering in her children’s activities including basketball, volleyball, kickball, girl scouts and boy scouts, as well as bowling with her husband and friends and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will take place at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street, with Father Ben Syberg officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
