GERALD C. (JERRY) MILLER Gerald C. (Jerry) Miller, 86, of Rocky River, Ohio and Terre Haute, Indiana passed away, Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was born September 8, 1926 in Mattoon, IL to Ralph Miller and Nellie Roney Miller. Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy Haley Miller; his loving children, Gerald Michael Miller and his wife, Susan, of Riverside, CA, Rosemary Rothkopf and her husband, Robert, of Indianapolis, IN and Annette Dever and her husband, Steve, of Rocky River, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Peg Miller; a sister-in-law, Lorene Miller; 10 grandchildren, Chet, Stephanie and Timothy Miller, Amanda, Stephen and Jackson Rothkopf, and Victoria, Monica, Samantha and Andrew Dever; 5 great-grandchildren, Sarah Orbe and Jacob, Luke, Janae and Alexis Miller; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Timothy Miller and Stephen Miller; and two brothers, Robert Miller and William Miller. Jerry was a civil engineer and proud graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a United States Navy Veteran. He began his career as a civil engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad and then moved to Chicago, IL. to accept a position with Kentile Corporation as plant engineer. He later moved his family to Terre Haute to work for Haley Brothers Construction Company. Jerry spent the last 16 years of his career as the President and owner of Miller Engineering & Construction Co. in Terre Haute. He was a respected businessman and a dedicated member of St. Margaret Mary and St. Benedict Catholic Churches. He was a devoted family man who was generous, kind, considerate, and will be missed by all. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:05 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Ed Goldbach, OFM Conv. Officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors Provided by VFW Post #972. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 8th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
