Georgiann Curry, 85, of Terre Haute passed away early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014 in Union Hospital. She had worked as a Laboratory Technician at the former IMC/ Pitman-Moore Companies and more recently was a receptionist with the Vigo County Public Library. Georgiann was born February 10, 1929 in Vincennes, Indiana to George Lawless and Margaret Gray Lawless. Survivors include her three sons, Scott Curry and his wife, Pamela Piazza Curry, of Ft. Mill, SC, Jeff Curry and his wife, Vickie Curry, of Terre Haute and Dean Curry and his domestic partner, Bill O'Brien, of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Linda Blackwelder and her husband, Bob, of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Nancy Lawless of Lawrenceville, IL; four grandchildren, Jayme Curry Tucker and her husband, Jason, Joseph Scott Curry, Sarah Curry Dunbar and her husband, Clay, and Amber Curry; and three great-grandchildren, Carson Tucker, Cameron Tucker and Ava Dunbar. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dr. Richard Lawless. Georgiann was a member of Central Christian Church, Francis Vigo Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at Vincennes, Indiana and Friends of the Library. Additionally, she was a long-time volunteer in the Pioneer Village at Fowler Park. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Guinn Shingleton officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
