George E. Miller, 96, of Terre Haute died Monday, February 4, 2013 in Davis Gardens Health Center. He was born November 3, 1916 in Edgar County, Illinois to Johney L. Miller and Viola Mae Barkley Miller. He was the former President and Owner of B & A Electric. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kate Hall Ballinger Miller. Other survivors include two sons, John Miller and his wife Donna of Bloomington, Indiana and Ralph Miller of Indianapolis; a daughter, Julie Miller Garino and her husband Dom of Chicago; two step-daughters; Barbara Jean Hawley of San Jose, California, and Marilyn Meek of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera B Hayes Miller in 1987; his parents; a sister, Mary Hawkins; and a half brother, Charles Miller George was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army Infantry. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club, past President and a fifty year member of Electrical Contractors Association of North Central Indiana, past President of Goodwill Industries, past officer of The United Way of the Wabash Valley and a member of the Residence Association of Westminster Village. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Memorial United Methodist Church, 2701 Poplar Street, with the Reverend Scott Johnson and Dr. Charles Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
