George L. Korenski

George L. Korenski, 76 of Terre Haute died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in St. Francis Hospital. He was born October 16, 1938 in Terre Haute to Matthew Korenski and Margaret Woods Korenski Hill. George was an electrician and co-founder of ICM Custom Cartons. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Sue Cooper and her husband Todd and Connie Beth Knierim and her husband Bill; two sons, George Leonard Korenski, Jr. and his wife Susan and Michael William Korenski; two brothers, Matthew Korenski and his wife Rita and Joe Korenski and his wife Margaret; six grandchildren, Brook Blevins and her husband Nick, Dennis Smith and his wife Chelse, Katie Graham and her husband David, Tyler Knierim, Mickayla Cooper, and Hunter Knierim; six great grandchildren, Jerome Blevins, Jordan Blevins, Gabriella Graham, Jaxton Blevins, Jaron Blevins, and Jayse Blevins; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, G. Irene Korenski; his parents; and brother, Stanley Korenski. George was a potentate of Zorah Shrine Temple in 1988 and the current treasurer, a Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute 33 degree mason, past master of Rosedale Lodge #259 F & AM, and Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter , Royal Arch Masons of Indiana, OPC of the York Rite. He also belongs to many other masonic organizations. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 16, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Associate Minister Stuart Powell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 15, 2015 with masonic memorial services at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131-3597.
