Genevieve Eileen Stuhr, 97, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus. She was born October 12, 1922 in South Bend, IN to Arthur Woodcox and Cecil Kline Duby.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Leslie Alley (Richard) and Jamie Sangine (Ron McIntyre); great grandchildren, Jayden Ziney Alley and Ryker Cross Alley; brothers, Richard Duby and Robert Duby; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Myra Sue (Taylor) Hill; sisters, Cecilia Mail and Norma Nelson; and brothers, Bill Simpson, Jim Simpson, and Arthur Woodcox.
Grandma, Aunt Tootie, or Tootie as she was known, loved word books and bingo. She also loved to crochet and made blankets for veterans. She loved visiting with family and friends, and never knew a stranger. She was a girl scout leader in her younger days and retired from General Housewares after 18 years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Ric May officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
