Genevieve Hays Orndoff, 96, of Terre Haute and formerly of Paris, Illinois passed away Wednesday morning, September 9, 2015 in Harrison's Crossing Health Campus. She had worked as a department manager for Sears. Genevieve was born November 25, 1918 in Decatur, Illinois to Herschel Goodnight Adams and Mary Jane Minton Adams. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Edwin Hays, Jr. and Raymond Carrol Orndoff. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. III and Marianne Hays of Terre Haute; her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa Jane and Randy Royse of Lakeville, MN; a step-son, Carl Orndoff; and two step-daughters, Sharon LeDuc and her husband, Richard, and Cynthia Wilson. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Deborah Lynn Norris and her husband, Todd, Thomas Robert Hays and his wife, Yuki, and Brian Christopher Royse; four great-grandchildren; Curtis Patrick, Michelle Nicole Patrick, Tyler Christopher Hays and Jacob Christopher Royse; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a step-daughter and her husband, Mary and Ferrol Wright Genevieve was a member of First United Methodist Church of Paris, Illinois. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend David Rockhill officiating. Burial will take place at 1:00 P.M. (Central Time), Sunday, Sept. 13 in Fairmont Cemetery in Central City, Kentucky. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Funeral information may also be found at www.callahanandhughes.com.
