Geneva K. Thompson

October 4, 1922 — January 3, 2016

Geneva K. Thompson, 93, of Terre Haute and formerly of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away early Sunday morning, January 3, 2016 at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute. Born and raised in Kentucky, she was a graduate of Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for many years for businesses and a Doctors office in Louisville, KY area.

Geneva enjoyed camping, flowers and many crafts. She did perfect cross-stich work and made beautiful quilts which she always gave away to family and friends. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Terre Haute.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Paul V. Thompson to whom she was married for 51 years. She is also survived by her step-son John L. Thompson and his wife Carol, three grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Geneva is also survived by many nieces and nephews, several with whom she had an especially close and loving relationship. Memories of Aunt Geneva shall remain precious to them all.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute, IN with Pastor John L. Thompson officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00 11:00 A.M. on Saturday. Private burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
