Gary A. Simpson

Gary A. Simpson, 72, of Clinton passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Gibson Center for Hospice Care.  He was born January 31, 1950 in Brazil to Richard Simpson and Betty Sawyer Simpson.

Surviving is his son, Kevin Roberts (Nita); grandchildren, Dorina Springer and Kimberlyn Hemmrich (Seth); three great grandchildren and one on the way; special cousin, Twyla Glenz; and several aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary was a State Correctional Officer, Head of Loss Prevention for Staples, and had flown helicopters for Life Line.  He was a veteran of the Army and Navy serving in Vietnam. Gary was a member of the Mustang Club and the Pharaoh Car Club.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Mark Grayless officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wounded Warriors or the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.
