Gary Joseph Richards

Gary Joseph Richards, 69, of Terre Haute., died unexpectedly March 1, 2022, at home.

He was born on December 15, 1952, in Terre Haute to Jerome (Jerry) and Maria (Mia) Richards.

Gary, following in his father’s footsteps, worked at the Tribune Star and the Indianapolis Star for all of his adult life. He was also proud member of Teamster Local Saint Louis Mailers M-3. Gary loved spending time with family and was a friend to everyone he met. He especially enjoyed his childhood and time at Dietz Lake.

He married Beverly Zimmerman on July 7, 1987. He was baptized May 28, 2000 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church.

Gary is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Amy McQueary (Tom), Jessica Tegtmeyer (Matt), Jessica Huffenberger (Don Greek), Steven Richards (Amanda), Jimmy Richards (Heather), and Greg Richards (Chelsea); grandchildren, Gavin, Cohen, Jonathan, Kamden, Kati, Makenzie, James, Brantley, Raelynn, Jeremy, Hailey, Regan, Grayson, Lexi, and Laurynn; brother, Matthew Richards (Merri); cousin, Carolyn Trout (Doug); special neighbors, Mike and Brenda Milner and Paul and Valerie Orndorff; and many dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Joshua Richards.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25 ^th Street.  Cremation will follow.
