Gareld "Gary" Wayne Mccullaugh

Gareld “Gary” Wayne McCullaugh, 87, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Gibson Family Hospice.  He was born February 9, 1934 in Jasonville to Roy Wayne McCullaugh and Audra Fern Shanks McCullaugh.

Survivors include his son, David McCullaugh of Indianapolis; several nieces; a nephew; and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Suzanne “Susie” Fries McCullaugh; son, Tad McCullaugh; his parents; brother, Lyle McCullaugh; and sister, Dolly Genty.

Gary was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with his friends in the Rinky Dinks Senior Golf League at Sullivan Elks.  He retired as a life long member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 and worked in the local HVAC industry, in particular City Plumbing & Heating.  Gary graduated from Wiley High School and coached his sons Vigo Little League teams. He attended St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Martin Day, OFM Conv officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25 ^th Street.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
