Frances Louise Dean, 96, passed away on October 30, 2017 at Springhill Village. She was born February 15, 1921 in Freedom, IN to Plew Wilbur Clawson and Nettie Flava Rawley Clawson. Frances grew up in Freedom, Indiana and graduated from Freedom High School, April 28, 1939. She retired from CBS in 1984 after 30 years working in the quality control office. After retirement she made numerous quilts which she gave to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and doing word search books. She is survived by daughters, Wilma Louise Harden (Eric) and Norma Lynn Bartlett; granddaughters, Cynthia Dawn Thompson (Kevin), Cristina Lynn Godwin (Kenneth), and grandson, Kevin Scott Harden (Jessi); great grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Amanda Rohr, Christian and Kayla Thompson, Abigail and Matthew Godwin, Haylee and Cody Harden, Kippton Griffith, and Jacalyn Swick; great great grandchildren, Brooks and Lainey Rohr; sister, Hasseltine Miller; and special nephew, Bill Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Pauline Williams; and brother, Eli Reece Clawson; father of her daughters, Charles Leo Dean; and special son-in-law, William (Bill) Bartlett. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. on Thursday.
