Florence Solomon, 93, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Signature Healthcare. She was born January 20, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Louis Hurwich and Sarah Lapin Hurwich. She is survived by her son, Jon Solomon of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Solomon; her parents; a brother, Melvin Hurwick; and a sister, Rita Hymnes. Florence was a devoted mother and wife. There are no services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
