Emma Jean Deal

January 17, 1926 — February 9, 2016

Emma Jean Deal, 90, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born January 17, 1926 in Terre Haute to William C. Dubbs and Pearl Marie Wimmer Dubbs.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Travoli and her husband Joe and Kathy Johnson and her husband David both of Terre Haute; two sons, Jerry Deal and his wife Carol of Bowling Green and Bill Deal and his wife Mary of Terre Haute; one sister, Mary Ellen Elkins of W. Terre Haute; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Deal in 1986; her parents; and her sister, Esther M. Modesitt.

Emma was a member of Berea Christian Church. She enjoyed the Gaithers, playing the piano, and word search puzzles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Tom Hess officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 12:00 2:00 P.M. on Friday.
