Elsie J. Rooney

Elsie J. Rooney, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in her residence.  She was born March 31, 1929 in Marshall, IL to Donald F. Brown and Amy Rose McNary Brown.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl R. Porter and Judy A. Legg; sister, Anita Crumrin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Ray Rooney; her parents; brother, Homer Brown; and sisters, Martha Price, Norma Pittenger, and Della Bender.

Elsie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Father Ben Syberg officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
