Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Shepherd, 83, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born September 30, 1932 in Terre Haute to William Royer and Margaret Hayworth Royer. Survivors include her children, Eva Koontz of Winslow, IL, Kathy Fennell of Terre Haute, Margaret Lockard and her husband Dan of Terre Haute, Howard Shepherd and his wife Maria of Canton, GA, James Shepherd and his wife Teresa of Terre Haute, and Dana Goodwin and her husband Jeff of Terre Haute; sisters, Joan Smith of Wisconson and Kay Birck of Illinois; half sister, Marie Jeanette Brown of Terre Haute; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard "Mink" Shepherd and her parents. Betty was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post # 972. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 9, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Father Mathew Malek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services on Monday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
