Elizabeth Carol Pidany

Elizabeth Carol Pidany, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday evening, September 27, 2017 at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. She was born October 6, 1934 in St. Paul, MN to Harold Bricher and Rose Edlund Bricher.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, John Pidany; three daughters, Jackie Geddis (Rod) of Fernie, British Columbia, Canada, Kathy McCarthy (Pat) of Rochester, MN and Betsy Rodgers (Randy) of Terre Haute; and nine grandchildren, Shandy Geddis (Dan), Eli Geddis (Sam), Brylee Geddis, Thomas McCarthy, Joseph McCarthy, David McCarthy, Andy Rodgers (Sarah), Nathan Rodgers and Lauren Rodgers. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; her brother, John Bricher of Florida; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Bricher of St. Paul, MN; a brother-in-law, Bill Pidany (Bev) of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a brother, Don Bricher; and a sister, Barbara Rust.
Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was very active with the Food Pantry. She also was a member of the Sycamore Club and was a volunteer with Multiple Sclerosis. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and much loved for her fruit pies, her Christmas spirit, crossword puzzles, the lake, needlework, playing bridge and gardening.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Ohio Blvd., with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 10:00 AM- 12:00 Noon in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Ohio Blvd., Terre Haute, IN 47803.
