Elizabeth Ann Gilman, 81 of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1935 in Davison, Michigan to H. Thomas Barlow and Marjorie Ballou Barlow. Elizabeth was a retired school teacher for DeVaney elementary school for 30 plus years.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Alan Gilman and his wife Tina of Houston, TX, and William Michael Gilman of LaGrange, TX; a daughter, Ruth Ann Evans and her husband Bill of Friendswood, TX; two sisters, Nancy Geyer of North Olmsted, Ohio and Joyce Albiston and her husband Joe of Alta Vista, Virginia; and four grandchildren, Britany Gilman, Ashley Gilman, Matthew Gilman and Keri Ann Gilman. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 51 years, David Gilman who passed away in 2007.
Elizabeth was a member of World Gospel Church. She enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday June 4, 2016 in World Gospel Church, 900 Gardendale Road with Pastor Alfy Austin officiating. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery in Hymera. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
