Eileen C. Lawson, 90, of Terre Haute died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Southwood Healthcare Center. She was born August 12, 1923 in Terre Haute to William Hellman and Catherine Rice Hellman. Survivors include her husband, Robert Lawson; one son Mark Lawson and his wife Carol of Colorado; one daughter Lorraine Hoopingarner and her husband Gary of New Goshen; grandchildren, Mandy Guinn and her husband Rob, Gary Andrew Hoopingarner and his wife Traci, Denise Thornberry and her husband Chris, Shanna Neff and her husband Ryan, Kirsten Lawson, Ashton Lawson, Grant Lawson, and Makayla Lawson; great grandchildren, Grace, Logan, Nick, Andy, Ava, Grayson, Nolan, Gavin, Adeline, Mariska, Orrin, Mackenzie, Sean and Abbi; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul; and sisters, Pauline, Frances, Mary, Louise, and Gertrude. Eileen was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was formerly a salesperson for J.C. Penney Company. ***DUE TO WEATHER THE FOLLOWING SERVICE DAY AND TIME(S) HAVE CHANGED*** Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery mausoleum. Visitation will be one hour prior to services (10:00-11:00AM) at the church on Wendesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
