Edward L. Curley, Sr.

Edward L. Curley, Sr., 91, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 in his residence.  He was born June 10, 1932 in Terre Haute to Joseph A. Curley, Sr. and Florence W. Farley Curley.

Survivors include his sons, Edward Curley, Jr. (Tammy), William Curley (Georgia), Daniel Curley (Jeanene), and Timothy Curley (Kim); sister, Mary McCracken; grandchildren, Hanna Banks (Danny), Megan Curley, Connor Curley, Layne Curley, Brandon Curley, Lauren Curley, and Gabe Curley; and great grandson, Barron Banks.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Donna Lumbirt Curley; his parents; brothers, Lawrence Curley, Kenneth Curley, Jerry Curley, and Joseph Curley, Jr.; and sisters, Barbara Pfieffer, Alice Heubel, and Shirley Mimms.

Ed was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the German Oberlandler Club, V.F.W. Post # 972, American Legion Post # 104, and Moose lodge #1009. He retired from Alcan Aluminum and was an Army combat veteran of the Korean War.  He was an avid woodworker and loved gardening.

Immediate family private services will be held. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. His four sons and three grandsons will be pall bearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
