Edna Mae Fry, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Monday morning, November 3, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She had worked for many years in the cafeteria at Terre Haute North Vigo High School. Edna was born February 15, 1929 in Glymont, Maryland to Stephen Henry Hiatt, Sr. and Martha Brown Hiatt. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Earl L. Fry, Sr.; three children, Diane Allen and her husband, Bruce, Sr., of Terre Haute, Earl L. Fry, Jr. and his wife, Eva, of Terre Haute and Rick Fry and his wife, Robin, of Terre Haute; a brother, Stephen H. Hiatt, Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law, Mike Cowden, Sr.; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Robinson and Modena Fry. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Bruce and his wife, Tammy, Kelly and her husband, George, Kari and her husband, Brye, Justin and his wife, Paula, and Jessica and her husband, Tyler; ten great-grandchildren, Ernie, Garth and his fiancé, Erica, Faith, Brilea, Grayson, Kameron, Mason, Owen, Adeline and Oliver; a great-great-granddaughter, Madison, and another on the way; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Anna Louise McCullough, Martha Schoffstall and Martha Ruth Cowden. Edna was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church-North Campus. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Many people will remember Edna and her husband, Earl, for having operated the Terre Town Baseball League Concession Stand for many years where she was affectionately known as "Grandma Fry". Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
