Edith L. Peed

Edith L. Peed, 93, of Terre Haute died Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Davis Gardens Health Care Center. She was born September 2, 1919 in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama to Harley V. Parker and Clara S. Deiss Parker. Edith was a retired clerk for the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. Survivors include one son, Everett W. "Bill" Lance, Jr. and Dianna Wright of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Lori Honer and her husband Gary of Indianapolis, Beth Hunley and her husband Tony of Jamestown, IN, Vicki Cloney and her husband Robert of Paisley, Scotland, and Kim Lance of Terre Haute; and nine great grandchildren, Keegan Pierson, Xander Pierson, Liam Pierson, Norah Hunley, Mirin Cloney, Kieran Cloney, Declan Cloney, Ashlyn Hunley and Duncan Hunley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford E. Peed in 1985; a brother, William Parker; and her parents. Edith was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Vigo County Extension Homemakers; and the United Methodist Women. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Davis Gardens Health Care Center for their loving care. Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
