Earl L. Fry, Jr.

Earl L. Fry, Jr., 72, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Earl L. Fry, Sr. and Edna Mae Hiatt Fry. 

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Marie Fry Nevill (Tyler); grandson, Remington Nevill; sister, Diane Allen; brother, Richard Fry (Robin); father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Maggie Milam; brothers-in-law, Michael Milam (Cindy) and Thomas Milam (Cathy); sister-in-law, Rhonda Milam Miller; nephews, Bruce Allen, Jr. (Tammy), Justin Allen (Paula), Tommy Milam, and Zac Milam (Kate); several nieces, Kelly Shultz (George), Kari Winters (Brye), Cassi Milam, and Lindsay Moser (Dan); and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Eva (Milam) Fry, his parents, and a brother-in-law, Bruce Allen, Sr. 

Earl worked in shipping for M.A.B. Paints and Sherwin-Williams for many years before retiring. He coached youth baseball at Terre Town, helping to build the Terre Town Baseball League Complex from the ground up. He also helped build the Wabash Valley Girls’ Softball League Complex. He played slow-pitch softball into his 50s. Earl loved travelling and playing golf. He simply enjoyed being active. He was an avid Colts and Pacers fan. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandson, Remington.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care or to Pancreatic Cancer Research.
