Dr. Kathleen M. Hilton-Peffley, 80, of Terre Haute, IN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2020. She was born June 1, 1940 in Gary, IN to Ernest Scheub and Kathleen Mathews Scheub.
Dr. Hilton earned her PsyD from Indiana State University and was a psychologist in private practice for 30 years and a Life Coach for over a decade. She was a published author and speaker. She also owned a gourmet store in Terre Haute called Uniquely Gourmet from 1998-2001 where she sold gourmet cooking supplies and hosted cooking classes from local and international chefs. Dr. Hilton was a member of Memorial United Method Church and several professional organizations.
She loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid reader, earned her pilot's license when she was a teenager and enjoyed golf, travelling, The Gaither's music and a good cup of tea.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Peffley; son, Russell Hilton; daughter, Wendy Hilton; brother Larry Scheub (Shirley); grandchildren Ashley Hilton, Courtnie Salfelder, Reno Hilton, and Brooke Hilton; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th St., Terre Haute. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ron Branson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
