DR. BRUCE PHILIP ANSHUTZ June 20, 1958 - March 16, 2015 Dr. Bruce Philip Anshutz, 56, of Terre Haute passed away Monday afternoon, March 16, 2015 at Union Hospital. He was born June 20, 1958 to Dr. Frank B. & Pauline Templeton Anshutz. Survivors include his beloved wife, Margie Meis Anshutz and their two daughters, Lainey Elizabeth FuZhong Anshutz and Ella Song Anshutz; his parents, Dr. Frank & Pauline Anshutz; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer A. & Tom Thomas and Claire A. & Neil Marchese all of Terre Haute and Susan J. Anshutz of Michigan City, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Scott B. & Samantha Anshutz of Des Moines, IA; his mother and father-in-law, Laney & Lu Meis of Terre Haute and sister-in-law, Cathy Caldwell and her husband, Scott, of Denver, CO. Also surviving are nieces & nephews, Emily Lindley, Sarah Reeg, Stephen Marchese, Frank J. Anshutz, Grace Anshutz, Foster Anshutz, Beck Anshutz, Luc Caldwell and Mac Caldwell. He was preceded in death by beloved niece, Polly Elizabeth Marchese; and grandparents, Philip H. and Florence Templeton and Dr. Wade B. and Mabel Anshutz. Bruce was a 1976 graduate of Terre Haute North High School, DePauw University in 1980 and Northwestern School of Dentistry in 1988. For a brief time, he worked at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology following his graduation from DePauw University. In 1988 he joined his father in the practice of General Dentistry with their current practice known as Midtown Dentistry located at 12th Street and Wabash Avenue. He was a member of G.V. Black Society of Northwestern, Western Indiana Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Society. Bruce's greatest joy was being with his wife and daughters. His great sense of humor, quick wit and love of life are celebrated by his wonderful friends. Private memorial services will be conducted at First Congregational Church with Reverend Dawn Carlson officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
