Doris A. Rector McChesney

Doris A. Rector McChesney of Terre Haute passed away April 10, 2021. She was born on June 26, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN to Chester and Pearl Willoughby. She attended Gerstmeyer High School. She married Noble Rector in February 1948 and they made their life together for 37 years until Noble’s death in 1992.  They were blessed with 4 children: 3 daughters and 1 son.

In 2001, Doris married Frank McChesney in Franklin, New Jersey. Frank passed away in 2004.

Doris was a homemaker for many years while raising her children. Doris enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with her family.

Surviving are daughters Deb Webster of Brazil, Cathy Leek of Brazil, Stacy (Cary) McFadden of Brazil and son Brad Rector of Golden Beach, Florida. She also has a stepdaughter Sabrina Lucas in Franklin, NJ. Her grandchildren are Michael (Andrea) Webster of Fishers, In;  Inglish Foust of Terre Haute; Steve (Shawnee) Leek of Coatesville, In; Christen Rector of Pompano Beach, Fl;  Matt (Stephanie) Leek of Brazil; Lindsey Rector of Boynton Beach, Fl; Kyle McFadden of San Diego, Cal; and Alexa (Daniel) Wallace of San Diego, Cal. Her step grandchildren include Sarah, Paige, and Nicholas Lucas of Franklin, NJ.

Her last remaining sister is Lois Logue of Warrington, Pa. She also has 19 great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her first husband, Noble, and second husband, Frank; her parents, her brother Norman Willoughby, sister Juanita (Paul) Sanders, and sister Marjorie (Bill) Loveall of Virginia.

There are no services at this time, however a celebration of her life/remembrance ceremony will be held for the family in her honor at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, www.callahanandhughes.com .
