Doris Marie Lawton, 88, of Terre Haute died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born November 28, 1925 in Detroit, MI to Charles Domke and Marie Nickel Domke. Survivors include her husband, William Griffin Lawton; two sons, William Tyler Lawton and his wife Kim of Palm Harbor, FL and Robert Paul Lawton and his wife Lynn of East Pointe, MI; five grandchildren, Heather Lawton, Michael Lawton, Jenna Lawton, Brandon Lawton, and Sara Lawton. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Viola Plutschuck. Doris was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar Street with Reverend Jacob Sutton officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Woodmere Cemetery, 9400 W. Fort Street, Detroit, MI with committal services at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
