Donna Jo Bolin, 76, of Terre Haute passed away early Sunday morning, May 17, 2020 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. Donna was born November 28, 1943 in Plainfield, IN to George E. Stone, Sr. and Carnella Kessinger Stone.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin Dexter and Kim Bolin of Westfield, IN; two grandchildren, Gavin Dexter Bolin and Shelby Irene Bolin; and her brother and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Stone of Fort Wayne, IN. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, James Arthur Bolin (Beverly) and Michael Wayne Bolin (Kristy); a sister-in-law, Sue Ann Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Dexter Lee Bolin, Jr.; parents, George E. Stone, Sr. and Carnella "June" Stone Morgan; step-father, Levi Morgan; and a son, Matthew Arthur Bolin.
Donna was a graduate of Plainfield High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Anderson University. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Law Wives and Terre Haute Board of Realtors, and was a member and Past President of the Newcomers Club.
Donna's professional career began as a high school English and Drama teacher. After teaching, she became a successful Realtor for 35 years at Coldwell Banker Helman Realtors. Her achievements included Realtor of the Year and numerous Coldwell Banker Sales Awards. Donna volunteered at 14th & Chestnut Community Center, supported Helping Hands in West Terre Haute and helped with the sale of carnations for the Breast Cancer Survivors Group.
Donna was always willing to help when needed. She was a very gracious (and fun) hostess and will be missed by her family and many friends that enjoyed her hospitality.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 1:00-3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Dunlap Cemetery.
