Donna M. Curley, 78, of Terre Haute died Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Signature Healthcare. She was born January 1, 1936 in Logansport, IN to Charles W. Lumbirt and Charlotte L. Hill Lumbirt. Donna was a retired registered nurse for the Vigo County Health Department. Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Curley, Sr.; four sons, Edward L. Curley, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Terre Haute, William C. Curley and his wife Georgia of Lizton, IN., Daniel G. Curley and his wife Janeane of Terre Haute, and Timothy P. Curley and his wife Kim of Terre Haute; a brother, Richard Lumbirt and his wife Jeannie of Austin, IN; and seven grandchildren, Hannah Curley, Megan Curley, Connor Curley, Layne Curley, Brandon Curley, Lauren Curley, and Gabriel Curley. She was preceded in death by her parents. Donna was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; the German Oberlandler Club, St. Anthony Hospital Alumni Association, Senior Citizens, and the Moose. Donna loved gardening, dancing, and the outdoors. Donna loved working with children and was a dedicated registered nurse for over 30 years. Pall Bearers will be her four sons, Edward, William, Daniel, and Timothy and her two grandsons, Connor and Brandon. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Bernie LaMontagne officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
