Donald M. Vrabic, 78, of Terre Haute died Monday, June 9, 2014 in Union Hospital. He was born January 12, 1936 in Clinton, IN to John H. Vrabic and Elizabeth Young Vrabic. Don was the owner of Vrabic Car Center. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Dreher Vrabic, whom he married November 10, 1956; children, Pamela Greasor and her husband Roger, James Vrabic and his wife Nancy, Richard Vrabic and his wife, Barbara, all of Terre Haute and Robert Vrabic and his wife Lisa of Georgia; son-in-law, Jon Gaston of Alabama; grandchildren, Josh Greasor, Ryan Vrabic and his wife Lindsay, Nick Vrabic, Samantha Greasor, Aaron Bartlett, Tori Gaston, Lucas Vrabic, Jackie Gaston, Matthew Vrabic, Joseph Vrabic, and Jacob Vrabic; sister, Mary Lee Archer of Lafayette, IN; sisters-in-law, Betty Waldrop of Clinton, IN and Carole Dreher of New Goshen; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Donetta Gaston; his parents; and a brother John Carl Vrabic. Don was a member of Twelve Point Lodge #769 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, and the Zorah Shrine Directors Staff. Don enjoyed volunteering his time for the annual Party on the Hill and transporting children to Shriners Hospital in St. Louis. He was a Cub Master and an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. Don loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed Polka and Country Music. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street with Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 15, 2014 with Masonic Memorial services at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
