Donald Gene Brown

Donald Gene Brown, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  He was born November 17, 1931 in Terre Haute to George J. Brown and Ester Hook Brown.

Survivors include his children, Lorre Thompson (Ron), Philip Brown (April), and Holly Brown; step-children, Brenda Ingle and Bryan Walden (Bronda); sister, Annabelle Coss; grandchildren, Parker Brown, April Anderson, Crystal Thompson (Matt Orman), Jen Ingle (Laura), Chris Ingle (Laura Cahoon), and Nick Walden (Carrie); and great grandchildren, Dylan Anderson, Marley Anderson, Carter Orman, and Kari Walden.  He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Brown and Carolyn Brown, his parents, sons, Scott Brown and Craig Brown; and several siblings.

Donald was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where he was involved with Habitat for Humanity, Ryves Hall, and 14th & Chestnut Community Center.  He was a member of the Apartment Owners Association.  Donald was an Air Force Veteran.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 18, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Ron Branson officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in the funeral home.
