Dolores Miles "Dee" Templeton, 75, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home on Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was born September 5, 1942, in Terre Haute, to Charles Richard and Dolores Miller Templeton (Nichols). She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her three children, Richard Templeton and wife Ellie of Terre Haute, Michael Woodworth and wife Sarah of Lexington, KY, and Nancy Woodworth of Chicago, IL; her four sisters, Susan Templeton Scott and husband Don of Terre Haute, Katherine Templeton Nichols and husband Steven of Singapore, Nancy Templeton Haynes and husband David of Terre Haute, and Barbara Templeton Thornton and husband Matt of Six Mile, SC; her five grandchildren, Lucy Woodworth, William Woodworth, Mimi Templeton, Annie Templeton, and Tess Templeton; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dee was a 1960 graduate of Garfield High School and attended DePauw University where she a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa at DePauw, earning her B.A. in Mathematics. Continuing her education, Dee attended Indiana State University after having children and earned her Master's in Mathematics and Computer Science. Dee was a Professor at Indiana State University and DePauw University. She retired from Columbia House after 15 years of employment as a Systems Analyst. She was a member of First Congregational Church and was active in several area organizations including League of Terre Haute, P.E.O., and Tri Kappa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at The First Congregational Church, 630 Ohio St., with the Rev. Steve Moore officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Tuesday.
