Dolores G. Englum

Dolores G. Englum, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in her residence. She was born on August 6, 1928 in Shepardsville, IN to James Lloyd Moreland and Chloe Ethel Williams Moreland. Dolores was employed with Quaker Maid for 28 years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Englum in 1996.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy ODay and her husband Michael of Terre Haute; and a step-daughter, Jo Ann James and her husband, Mike of Terre Haute; a brother, James J. Moreland and his wife Nancy of Terre Haute; a sister, Margaret White; four grandchildren, Melissa Marks (Brett Wible), Amy Cruise (Rob), Kim ODay (Scott Hess) and Rebecca ODay (Josh Short); five great grandchildren, Jeffrey Marks, Cholie Marks, Justin Cork, Bristol Short and Bella Short; three step-grandchildren, Amanda Carter (Josh), Jodie Hamblen (Eddie) and Jason Webster (Hannah); and eight step-great grandchildren; and her special companion, Paul Christian, Jr; She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Catherine Jackson; and her first husband, Joseph Shephard in 1986.

Dolores was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, the altar society, St. Benedict Soup Kitchen, Euchristic minister, VFW Ladies Auxiliary # 972 and the Moose Lodge. She loved to play bingo and spending time with her family. Later in life, Dolores also worked in the cafeteria at Warren School.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:05 P.M. Thursday February 4, 2016 in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Matthew Malek officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday February 3, 2016 and 10:00 -11:00 A.M. Thursday in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
