Dennis M. Barrett

Surviving Dennis is his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Barrett; his children, Stephanie Barrett (Troy), and Brian Barrett (Dottie); grandchildren, Danielle Hunt (C.J.), Amber Sparks (John), Chassidy Barrett, Corey Grigsby, Collins Grigsby, Capone Grigsby, and Creta Grigsby; and great-grandchildren, Bradan, Abigail, Mia, Italy, Caiden, Cole, and Cash. Also surviving are his sisters, Rose Patterson and Teresa French; three very close family friends, Cierra Baker, Shaud Brown, and Darious Webb, and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Denise M. Barrett; brothers, John "Jay" Barrett and Joe Barrett; and his sister, Mary Barrett.
Dennis was a hard worker, devout Catholic, and proud Irishman. He loved his family and time spent with them.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 113 S 5th St., Terre Haute, with Fr. Dan Bedel officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Food Pantry (Samaritan Program) at St. Joseph University Parish.
