Deborah J. "Debbie" Youngen, 57, of Terre Haute passed away Monday afternoon, January 12, 2015. She was a financial aid specialist at Indiana State University for 26 years. Debbie was born November 6, 1957 in Terre Haute to Forest D. Youngen and Doris Mae McDonald Youngen. Survivors include her son, James Goad of Terre Haute; a brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Joan Youngen of Terre Haute; an aunt, Glendyn Curtis; special friends including Valerie Youngen, Brenda Roman and Susan Reynolds; and several nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jack Youngen. Debbie was a 1976 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. She loved being outdoors especially when she was fishing, hunting, camping or riding horses. Debbie always had a positive outlook on life and had a strong faith in God. She loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed a good game of pool. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Rev. Jim Evans officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Funeral information may also be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
