David W. Rainey
David W. Rainey, 53, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday October 30, 2017. He was born October 1, 1964 in South Bend, IN to Quentin L. Rainey and Lynn C. Duncan Rainey. He had worked as a baker for Flowers Bakery in Crossville, TN.
Survivors include his sons: Dylan C. Rainey and Mark Williams; a daughter, Casey L. Rainey-Hernandez; his father, Quentin L. Rainey and his wife Linda; and mother, Lynn C. Shetler; and seven grandchildren.
David was an animal lover owning five cats. He loved to hike and ride his bicycle in the many national parks in Indiana. He enjoyed collecting glass insulators from old telephone poles and working with computers. David loved to sing Karaoke whenever he could and he had the knack to remember many of his family and friends phone numbers and addresses. He also loved to extend a helping hand to others whenever he could.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday November 7, 2017 in Woodlawn Cemetery, 1230 N. 3rd Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807 with Pastor Robert Murray officiating. Burial of his cremains will immediately follow the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
