David L. Hensley, 66, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Union Hospital. He was born November 8, 1951 in Terre Haute to John Hensley and Dorothy Williams Hensley. David was a manager for Verizon for 30 years.

Survivors include his sons, Matt Hensley (Amy), David Hensley, and Mark Hensley; girlfriend, Jane Croto and her daughter, Cristina Croto; brother, John (Jack) Hensley; sister, Shirley Stevens; best friends, John and Cindy Faught; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He was a member of St. Joseph University Parish, American Legion Post #104, and the Marine Corp League. He lived in Richmond, IN, Pendleton, IN, Three Rivers, MI, Elkhart, IN and Ft. Wayne, IN all while working for Verizon. David was a U.S. Army Veteran.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday July 28, 2018 at American Legion Post #104, 2690 Ft. Harrison Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
