David E. "Dave" Everhart, 75, of Riley, IN passed away early Tuesday morning, December 18, 2018 in Union Hospital. He was a Systems Analyst for Columbia House for 40 years. Dave was born January 12, 1943 in Jasonville, IN to Dwight Everhart and Donna Sexton Everhart.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Jane McCullough Everhart; a son, Eric Everhart (Monique) of Mount Pleasant, MS; two grandchildren, Ethan Everhart and Payton Everhart; a brother, Dennis Everhart (Carol) of Hillsdale, IN; and a sister, Denise Shields (Jim) of Linton, IN. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Eldon McCullough (Vinita) of Lewis, IN; two sisters-in-law, Pat McCullough of Fort Wayne, IN and Elaine McBride of Spencer, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dave was a graduate of Coalmont (IN) High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a long-time and very active member of First Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a Sunday School Superintendent. Dave was a Cub Scout Master, coached Little League Baseball and was President of the Riley Town Board. He served on the Area Planning Commission Board and Vigo County School Corporation Board, and received a special initiation into Pi Kappa Fraternity. Dave loved modern technology and was always working and fixing computers for his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 in First Baptist Church, 4701 Poplar Street, with Reverend Bernie Jackson and Reverend Steve Newman officiating. Burial will be in Claiborne Cemetery near Sullivan, IN. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. It was Dave's wish that in lieu of flowers, friends would instead please make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 4701 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
