Dale "Tom" Aleshire
Dale "Tom" Aleshire, 74, of Terre Haute passed away Friday March 3, 2017 in his residence. He was born to Jesse Lee Aleshire and Mary Alice Parker Aleshire in Terre Haute on October 13, 1942. Tom was a independent trucker and hauled for many years for Landstar. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Phyllis Deakins Aleshire.
Other survivors include four sons, Roger Aleshire and his wife Kathy, Tommy Aleshire and his wife Melinda, Jesse Aleshire and his wife Kelly and Rick Akers and his wife Sherse; two daughters, Kim Paradiso and her husband Troy and Cindi Bignell and her husband Carey; a sister, Donna Akers and her husband Fred; a daughter-in-law, Beth Akers and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; Tom was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sons, Rusty, Robbie Aleshire and Ronnie Akers.
Tom served his country proudly for thirty years in the United States Navy, serving three tours. He owed his own semi and drove many miles delivering items throughout the country. He was a member of VFW 972, American Legion Post 346 and Eagles 291. Tom loved to listen to country and western music on the radio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery with Military rites. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
