Constance Turney Watson

Constance Turney Watson, 69, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday morning, August 3, 2023.  She was an elementary school teacher with Clay County Schools for over 31 years.  Constance was born February 3, 1954 in Seattle, WA to David Turney and Miriam Howell Turney.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Watson;  two sons, David Watson (Sarah) of Bismarck, ND and Brian Watson of West Lafayette, IN;  a step-son, Joseph Watson (Becky) of Arvada, CO;  a step-daughter, Jamie Brodnax (Dan) of Golden, CO;  five grandchildren, Morgan Brodnax, Hailey Brodnax, Emerson Watson, Joey Watson and Mathias Watson;  and her brother, Scott Turney (Linda) of Jasper, IN.

Constance earned her Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University and her Master’s degree from Indiana State University.  She was a member of Seelyville United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association and Chi Omega Sorority.

A private burial will take place in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.  If friends should so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends to attend.
