Charlotte Ruth Fischer

Charlotte Ruth Fischer, 96, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Westminster Healthcare.  She was born October 25, 1925 in Terre Haute to Theodore F. Piepenbrink and Elizabeth Bader Piepenbrink.

Survivors include her sister, Norma Bucy; nieces and nephews, Beverly Christopher, Richard Bucy (Deb), Jim Piepenbrink (Sheryl), Ken Piepenbrink (Deb), and John Piepenbrink (Lisa); and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Philipp Fischer; her parents; and two brothers, Arthur and Walter Piepenbrink.

Charlotte was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Vincennes.  She was active in the Vincennes community and was one of the founders of the Spirit of Vincennes Rendezvous.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar Street, Terre Haute, IN with Vicar Paul Norris officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, Terre Haute, IN and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lutheran Hour Ministries, or Worship Anew.
