Charles Joseph Kintz Iii

Charles Joseph Kintz III, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday evening, January 21, 2021, at Providence Health Care Center. He was born April 29, 1929, in Terre Haute to Charles J. Kintz, Jr., and Catherine Schultz Kintz.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Carole Ann Kintz, of Gadsden, AL, nieces and nephews, several cousins, his many church friends who were like family to him, and his special caregiver Tina Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. Kintz, Sr.

Charles, or “Buddy” as he was also known, worked at Hulman and Company for 43 years in the office and in grocery distribution. He was a devout Catholic and a lifetime member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

A very special “Thank You” and grateful appreciation is offered to the staff at Providence Health Care Center for their friendship and loving care they provided to Buddy.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021, in St. Benedict Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Martin Day, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Elliott, Mark Elliott, Tony Butwin, Todd Butwin, Robert John Kintz, Jr., Armin Naismith, Andrew Naismith, and Michael Walker. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. If family and friends should so desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807.
