Charles "Shot" Jackson, 81, of Terre Haute was reunited with his wife on Friday, August 15, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 19, 1932 in Terre Haute to Lindsay and Emma Jackson. Survivors include his children, Charles E. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Luann of Brazil, Alan Jackson of Terre Haute, Becky "Sis" Jackson of Terre Haute, Connie Jackson of Florida, Paula Wilson and her husband Tim of Terre Haute, and Tommy Jackson and his wife Bonnie of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jennifer Long and her husband Jason, Jaime Seal and her husband Clint, Charles Jackson III and his wife Thera, A.J. Jackson, Sarah Manche and her husband Daniel, and Timmy Wilson; great grandchildren, Baylie Cole, Skyler Harbrueger, Dru Long, Reagan Seal, Cole Seal, McKinley Seal, C.T. Seal, Lexi Kate, Charles Jackson IV, James Jackson, Mikayla Manche, Matthew Manche, and Maddox Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Betty Jackson on December 5, 2012; his parents; a son, Ronnie Ray Jackson on October 3, 1978; and several brothers and sisters. Shot married his high school sweetheart Betty Walker Jackson on September 9, 1950 and together they raised seven children. He was a retired truck driver, retiring from Vigo Fruit Company, Commercial Lovelace, and Taylor Courier Service. Shot was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. Everyone who knew him absolutely adored him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be truly missed. The family sends their sincere heartfelt thanks to Deidre of Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Pall Bearers will be Jason Long, Clint Seal, C.J. Jackson, Daniel Manche, Timmy Wilson, and Aaron Willman. Honorary Pall Bearers will be the great grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street with granddaughter, Jennifer Long officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014.
