Charles W. "Chuck" Heady Charles W. "Chuck" Heady, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 in his residence. He was born in Vigo Country on April 28, 1921 to Russell Heady and Minnie R. Sharp Heady. Chuck was a retired barber and owned and operated Chuck's Barber Shop for 52 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Wilma L. Haas Heady. Other survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Miller and Jackie Forsythe and her husband Larry both of Terre Haute; a son, David Heady and his wife Tonia of Terre Haute; a brother, Max Heady and his wife Betty of Farmersburg; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Laurel Heady, Paul Heady and Dane Heady; and a sister, Louise Heady. Chuck was a 1939 graduate of Cory High School and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Infantry at The Panama Canal. Before becoming a barber, he worked at Owens Illinois Glass Factory and Allis Chambers. He was a member of Breden Memorial United Methodist Church and Past Master of Humboldt Lodge # 42. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Pastors Linda Smock and Timothy Fagg officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the funeral home with Masonic services at 7:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services.
