Charles E Brennan passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Most important to him were the love of his life Debra S. Brennan, family and friends.
Charles 77 of Wake Forest, NC was born November 2, 1946, in Mishawaka IN, to Theodore and Hazel Elizabeth Brennan.
He graduated from Mishawaka High School and was a proud Maroon Caveman.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Debra Lawson Brennan, sons, Robert Tucker (Brandi) Andrew Tucker (Kieu My); grandchildren, Kevin Dang, Alyssa Jean Tucker; Father-in-law Robert Lawson and many beloved Brothers in-law and Sisters in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Theodore (Ted) and Elizabeth Van Camp Brennan, Brother Don, and Sister Dora Lee Sargent and Mother-in-law Betty Lawson.
Chuck retired from GTE/Verizon after 34 years. He was drafted in 1966 and served in the Army in Korea
Known to family and friends by several monikers, Chuck/Charles/Charlie/Pop/CB/Sea Dog/Pop Charlie/Papa, each one spelling love. He was a loyal and true friend, that never met a stranger and had a full well-lived life centered around family. Charles had a zest for life, loved to travel, spend time with those he cared about, attend the Indy 500, play golf, going to the beach, a cocktail or two, football and so much more. He was the embodiment of joy, infectious warmth, a great spirit and will be tremendously missed.
We will gather together for visitation/memorial service that will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home on 605 S 25th St, Terre Haute, IN 47803 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with interment immediately following at Highland Lawn Cemetery, 4420 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803. In lieu of flowers please donate to Wounded Warrior Project.org or ASPCA.org in memory of Charles E Brennan.
