Cathleen D. Huber

Cathleen D. Huber, 80 of Terre Haute, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Gibson Hospice Care Center in the Union Hospital following a bout with COPD and Alzheimer’s disease.

Cathy was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 28, 1942 to Stella T. and William G. Denton. Cathy went to school in Cleveland, OH and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She earned her baccalaureate degree in English for Indiana State University in 1998.

Following a divorce from James D. Chrestman, Cathy married Joseph (Joe) G. Huber in July 1982. She brought two children to the relationship, Stacy M. Chrestman, 1966, Indianapolis and Eric (Chrestman) Huber, 1971, Lawrence, KS. They joined Joe’s family of Michael Pufall, 1959, El Paso, TX, Joseph G. Pufall, 1963, Sarasota, FL, William R. Pufall, 1964, Lebanon, OR, Patricia A. Iampieri, 1965, Tampa, FL, Carol J. (Huber) McPheters, 1967, Klamoth Falls, OR, James G. Huber, 1969, San Diego, CA, John G. Huber, 1972, Surry, VA, and Sue Abate, 1967, Concord, NC. Fourteen grandkids and 20 great-grandkids adored her and fondly called her “Grandma.”
