Carolyn E. Meiners

Carolyn E. Meiners, 90, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 in her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born April 23, 1933 in Bosworth, MO to Ivan R. Swinney and Zelia D. Mathieson Swinney.

Survivors include her children, Stephen Meiners (Julie) of Carmel, Gregory Meiners (Jane) of Terre Haute, Brian Meiners (Reva) of Savannah, GA, Cynthia Shipton (Ted) of Eureka, MO, Deborah Konger (Raymond) of Indianapolis, and Christopher Meiners (Angela) of Brownsburg; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Meiners and her parents.

Carolyn was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and the Country Club of Terre Haute. She worked as a secretary at McDonnell Douglas and taught Human Relations at Ivy Tech College. She enjoyed cocktail hour, playing golf, and bridge. She always liked to make people laugh.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2405 S. 7th Street, Terre Haute, IN followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 p.m. with Father Todd Riebe officiating.  Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
