Carolyn Jean Crow Ives, 70, of Terre Haute went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born August 9, 1942 to Clarence L. Crow and Ruby Edington Crow. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Daniel T. Ives, Sr.; children, Lynn Ives Brinson and her husband Rick of Linton, Tina Ives Vredenburgh and her husband George of Attica, Daniel T. Ives, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Georgia and George Ives and his wife Marti of Pensacola, Florida; nine grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Clarence L. Crow, Jr. and his wife Marie of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; uncles; and a nephew. Carolyn graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1961. She retired in 2003 from the State of Indiana as Field Representative for the State Board of Tax Commission where she worked for 30 years. Carolyn was a member of the Daughters of the Nile Badoura Temple #23 and served as Queen in 2006. She was a member of Women's Department Club of Terre Haute for 40 + years. Carolyn was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and a past matron of Order of the Eastern Star Riley Chapter 22. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Chiyona Bourne officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 with a memorial services by the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile at 7:00 P.M.
