Carol Ruth Rose

Carol Ruth Rose, 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on September 18, 1941 to Marvin and Ruth (Taylor) Goss in Terre Haute, Indiana. Carol was a loving mother to her children and played an active role throughout their lives. She was active in the United Methodist Church; and served as a hospital volunteer and a volunteer EMT. She was a majority member and Past Honored Queen for Bethel #2 in Terre Haute in 1958; Past Grand Bethel Honored Queen of Indiana in 1966; Past Bethel Guardian, Bethel #45, in Springfield, VA; a 61 year member of Jobs Daughters International; Guardian Secretary for Bethel #108 in Fishers; was the recipient of the degree of Royal Purple; a Past Queen of Koran Temple No. 30, in Indianapolis, and a 47 year member of Daughters of the Nile. Carol was a Past Matron of Cryptomeria #4 in Tackiwa, Japan in 1972; a 55 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Indiana State Regent and Past Chapter Regent of the Daughters of the American Colonist; Past Chapter Regent and member of Daughters of the American Revolution; a 55 year member White Shrine of Jerusalem; a member of Order of Amaranth; and a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, William W. Rose; daughter, Cathy C. (Rick) Rose; son, Billy (Jan) Rose; granddaughter, Jill Rose; brother, Gary (Mary) Goss; and niece, Amethyst Goss. Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am immediately prior to the service. An additional service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, in Terre Haute, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am immediately prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
